Quality of Life in People with Liver Cirrhosis

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou onemocnění jaterní cirhóza. V teoretické části jsou uvedena významná data rozvoje gastroenterologie. Dále se zabývá anatomií, etiologií vzniku onemocnění, diagnostikou a léčbou. Mezi nejzávažnější komplikace patří selhání jater. Praktická část je zpracována kvantitativní metodou technikou standardizovaného dotazníku WHOQOL-BREF. Dotazník je doplněný o otázky zjišťující pohlaví, věk, rodinný stav, nejvyšší dosažené vzdělání a délku onemocnění u respondentů s cirhózou jater. Výzkumného šetření se zúčastnilo celkem 120 respondentů, z toho 60 zdravých respondentů a 60 respondentů s cirhózou jater. Hlavním cílem je porovnání kvality života osob s cirhózou jater a zdravých jedinců. Zjistili jsme, že respondenti s cirhózou jater mají sníženou kvalitu života oproti zdravým respondentům.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of liver cirrhosis. In the theoretical part important data of the development of gastroenterology are presented. It also deals with anatomy, etiology of the disease, diagnosis and treatment. The most serious complications include liver failure. The practical part is prepared by quantitative method using the technique of standardized WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire. The questionnaire is supplemented with questions to ascertain gender, age, marital status, highest educational attainment and duration of disease in respondents with cirrhosis of the liver. A total of 120 respondents participated in the survey, including 60 healthy respondents and 60 respondents with cirrhosis of the liver. The main objective is to compare the quality of life of people with cirrhosis of the liver and healthy individuals. We found that respondents with cirrhosis of the liver have a reduced quality of life compared to healthy respondents.
