Relation between theory of mind and aggression in preschool period. Moderating role of prosoical behaviour.

Abstract:

Tato práce si kladla za cíl na základě výzkumu Renoufové a kolektivu (2009) ověřit vztah mezi úrovní teorie mysli a tendencí k agresivnímu chování a to s ohledem na dělení na nepřímé agresivní chování, proaktivní fyzické agresivní chování a reaktivní fyzické agresivní chování, jelikož se dalo předpokládat, že vztahy budou v závislosti na tomto dělení odlišné. Též tato práce brala v potaz námitky Caravitové, Blasiové, Salnivalliové (2010) o možném ovlivnění tohoto vztahu jinými osobnostními nebo sociálními faktory. Na základě inspirace výzkumem Renoufové a kolektivu (2009) tato práce ověřovala možný vliv tendence k prosociálnímu chování na vztah mezi úrovní teorie mysli a tendencí k agresivnímu chování. Na základě teoretické části byly vyvozeny tři předpoklady: 1. Vyšší úroveň teorie mysli vede k větší tendenci k nepřímému agresivnímu chování, ale pouze v případě menší tendence k prosociálnímu chování. 2. Vyšší úroveň teorie mysli vede k větší tendenci k proaktivnímu fyzickému agresivnímu chování, ale pouze v případě menší tendence k prosociálnímu chování. 3. Nižší úroveň teorie mysli vede k větší tendenci k reaktivnímu fyzickému agresivnímu chování, ale pouze v případě menší tendence k prosociálnímu chování. Předpoklady byly ověřeny na vzorku 4letých a 5letých dětí. Děti byly testovány testem Lentilky a testem Sally a Anne. Tendence k agresivnímu a prosociálnímu chování byla zjišťována dotazníkovou metodou určenou pro učitele. Tyto předpoklady tato práce nepotvrdila. Ve výzkumu se ukázalo, že úroveň teorie mysli predikovala pozitivně tendenci k nepřímému agresivnímu chování. Dále úroveň teorie mysli predikovala pozitivně tendenci k proaktivnímu fyzickému agresivnímu chování (u chlapců). Dále úroveň teorie mysli predikovala negativně tendenci k reaktivnímu fyzickému agresivnímu chování (u chlapců).

Abstract:

The goal of this thesis was checking association between level of theory of mind and tendency to aggressive behavior based on research of Renouf and collective (2009) with respect to distribution of indirect aggressive behavior, proactive physical aggressive behavior and reactive physical behavior, whereas there was presumption that associations will be different in dependency on this distribution. This thesis also considered objections of Caravita, Blasio, Salnivalli (2010) about possible influence to this association by another personal or social factors. This thesis checked possible influence of tendency to prosocial behavior to association between level of theory of mind and tendency to aggressive behavior based on inspiration of research of Renouf and collective (2009). There were made three assumptions based on theoretical part of this thesis: 1. Higher level of theory of mind leads to higher tendency to indirect aggressive behavior, but only in case of smaller tendency to prosocial behavior. 2. Higher level of theory of mind leads to higher tendency to proactive physical aggressive behavior, but only in case of smaller tendency to prosocial behavior. 3. Lower level of theory of mind leads to higher tendency to reactive physical aggressive behavior, but only in case of smaller tendency to prosocial behavior. Presumptions were checked on sample of 4 year and 5 year old children. Children were tested in Candy test and test Sally and Anne. Tendency to aggressive and prosocial behavior was found from questionnaire for teachers. This presumptions were not confirmed in this thesis. The research shows that level of theory of mind positively predicted tendency to indirect aggressive behavior. Level of theory of mind positively predicted tendency to proactive physical aggressive behavior (at boys). Level of theory of mind negatively predicted tendency to reactive physical aggressive behavior (at boys).
