The aim of this master's thesis is to present and analyze magic, witchcraft, and all issues related to it, as it was perceived and understood in the early modern period, with an emphasis on the English region, and its portrayal in the English Renaissance drama. Tato práce se zabývá vyobrazením magie a čarodějnictví v anglických dramatech vzniklých mezi lety 1606 až 1633. Nejprve je prostor věnovám popisu pojmů magie a čarodějnictví a jejich nejdůležitějších aspektů. Dále se práce zabývá vnímání fenoménu čarodějnictví v Anglii za vlády Alžběty I., Jakuba I. a Karla I., a rysům, které jsou pro anglické čarodějnictví typické. Hlavní část této práce se věnuje …more
