Abstract:

Tato práce se věnuje analýze rámů čínské rozvojové pomoci. Využívá smíšenou metodologii diskursivní analýzy a kvantitativního šetření za použitím softwaru QDA Miner 4 Beta. V rámci analýzy jsme přišli na tři hlavní rámy, jejímž pomocí čínská vláda rámuje svou rozvojovou pomoc.

Abstract:

This thesis is analysing framing of China foreign development aid by Chinese government officials and Chinese media. The Chinese economy is growing as well as its development aid and it oftentimes must face the critiques that accuse China of lowering aid standards, helping rouge regimes or creating alternatives to traditional foreign aid system, which allows developing countries to bypass the requirements that traditional donors condition upon their help, such as protecting human rights, applying reforms that should ensure good governance, responsible behaviour connected to loan taking, etc. The aim of this thesis is to answer the question how the government of People's Republic of China is framing its development aid. The question is answered using the frame analysis of the official documents and articles of Chinese "official newspaper" that function as mouthpiece of official discourse among Chinese elites. The thesis works with the theory of discourse analysis and frame theory.
