Company Kindergarten as One of Employee Benefits

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zjistit, jaký je názor zaměstnanců Fakultní nemocnice Ostrava na zřízení firemní školky. V dnešní době je kladen důraz na slaďování aktivit rodinného a profesního života a firemní školka by tomuto propojení mohla napomoci. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy týkající se benefitů, kdy zaměstnance motivuje nejen výše mzdy; firemní školky a dětské skupiny, kde jsou popsány výhody a nevýhody, kritéria; a nakonec pak jsou uvedeny hlavní údaje o Fakultní nemocnici Ostrava. Empirické zkoumání ve výzkumné části je zaměřeno na zaměstnance Fakultní nemocnice Ostrava. Pomocí nestandardizovaného dotazníku je využit kvantitativní výzkum, jehož výsledky jsou zpracovány pomocí vybrané statistické metody. Z výsledků výzkumu bakalářské práce vyplývá, že zaměstnanci souhlasí s možností vybudovat v areálu nemocnice firemní školku a využívali by ji. Veškeré otázky a hypotézy jsou podrobně popsány v závěru práce, jejíž součástí je zhodnocení a shrnutí výzkumu.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis was to find out the opinion of the University Hospital Ostrava employees on the establishment of a company kindergarten. Nowadays the emphasis is put on harmonization of family activities with professional life and company kindergarten could be helpful in this issue. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts related to benefits, when employees are motivated not only by the level of salary; information about company kindergarten and children groups, with description of their advantages and disadvantages, criteria; and finally, there are stated the main data of the University Hospital Ostrava. The empirical investigation in the research part of the thesis is focused on the University Hospital Ostrava employees. Thanks to the non-standardized questionnaire there is implemented quantitative research, which results are processed by selected statistical methods. The research results of the thesis show, that employees agree with the possibility to build up a company kindergarten in the hospital premises and such a facility would be used by them. All questions and hypotheses are described in detail in the conclusion, which includes an assessment and summary of the research.
