Monitoring tools for BACnet devices and objects

Abstract:

Cílem práce je navrhnout snadno rozšiřitelný a konfigurovatelný systém, který umožňuje monitorování stavu zařízení a objektů technologické sítě využívající protokol BACnet. Součástí práce je rešerše existujících řešení pro sledování funkčnosti sítí a stručný popis protokolu BACnet. V práci jsou popsány základní vlastnosti sítě, zařízení a objektů, které je vhodné monitorovat. Důraz je kladen na nasazení a praktické využití v technologické síti univerzitního kampusu MU. Další části práce obsahují programátorskou a administrátorskou příručku, obrazovou dokumentaci funkčnosti systému a stručný slovník pojmů.

Abstract:

The goal of this thesis is to design extendable and configurable system for monitoring states of the BACnet devices and objects with emphasis on using in the technology network of the UKB MU. The thesis contains overview of existent tools for network monitoring and brief description of the BACnet protocol. The thesis describes basic features of the BACnet network, objects and devices. Further parts of the thesis contains programmer and administrator guide and dictionary of basic terms.
