Analysis of Motor Oils for Road Racing Motorcycles

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá současnými poznatky o vlastnostech motorových olejů, o jejich klasifikaci a experimentálních metodách zjišťování znečištění motorových olejů u silničních závodních motocyklů. Laboratorní zkoušky provedené ve společnosti Paramo a.s. byly doplněny o další zkoušky v laboratořích Univerzity Pardubice. Na základě těchto zkoušek byly stanoveny výsledky a doporučení pro uživatele. Motorových olejů bylo dále využito ke zjištění závislostí opotřebení na parametrech závodních okruhů. Cílem práce je stanovit doporučení pro uživatele motorových olejů v silničních závodních motocyklech, zjistit závislosti naměřených hodnot a parametrů a ověřit vliv podmínek závodního okruhu na opotřebení motorového oleje a motoru.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the current knowledge about the properties of motor oils, their classification and experimental methods for detecting contamination of engine oils for road racing motorcycles. Laboratory tests performed in Paramo were supplemented by further tests in the laboratories of the University of Pardubice. On the basis of these tests were determined results and recommendations for the users. Motor oils were then used to determine the dependence of wear on the parameters of racing tracks. The objective of this thesis is to identify recommendations for users of motor oils in road racing motorcycles, to find out dependencies of measured values and parameters and to validate the impact of the conditions of the racing track to a wear of engine oil and engine.
