Evropská unie se stala velmi důležitým aktérem v boji proti mezinárodnímu terorismu a po útocích z 11. září 2001 přijala široké spektrum nástrojů. Jedním z nich je Strategie Evropské Unie pro boj proti terorismu přijatá roku 2005. The European Union has become a very important player in the fight against international terrorism and after the attacks of September 11th 2001 adopted a wide range of instruments. One of them is The European Union Counter-Terrorism strategy adopted in 2005.
