Sensitivity of tree ring series of Silver fir (Abies alba Mill.) against change of climatic factors at UFE Křtiny

Abstract:

Na lesním majetku ŠLP křtiny byl vybrán porost se zastoupením jedle bělokoré s výskytem živých i odumřelých jedinců. Z vybraných jedinců byly odebrány vzorky dřeva pro letokruhové analýzy, které byly následně analyzovány dendrochronologickými metodami s cílem srovnání klimatického signálu, indexů resilience a růstových trendů mezi živými a odumřelými jedinci. Předpokladem bylo, že růst odumřelých jedinců bude silněji svázán s klimatickými parametry (úhrn srážek, průměrné teploty) a bude vykazovat záporný trend v období po roce 2000. Tyto hypotézy se potvrdily částečně – odumřelé jedle vykazovaly po roce 2000 nižší rezistenci v letech 2007 a 2012 a resilienci v roce 2007, což koresponduje s negativním trendem růstu u odumřelých jedlí po roce 2000, kdy živé stromy vykazovaly pozitivní růstový trend. Na druhou stranu živé a odumřelé stromy vykazovaly podobnou sílu klimatického signálu – zejména pozitivní korelace s červnovými a červencovými srážkami.

Abstract:

At forest enterprise UFE Křtiny forest stand with presence of living and dead silver fir trees was chosen. From selected individuals samples of wood were taken for tree ring analyses, then tree rings were analysed using dendrochronological methods, with purpose to compare climate signal, indices of resilience and growth trends between living and dead individuals. Hypothesis were, that growth of dead individuals will be more corelated with climatic parameters (precipitation, temperature) and will show negative trend after year 2000. These hypotheses were confirmed only partially - dead firs showed after year 2000 lower resistance in years 2007 and 2012 and lower resilience in year 2007. This fact is corresponding with negative growth trend for dead firs after year 2000, when living individuals showed positive growth trend. On the other side both living and dead individuals showed similar climate signal - especially in case of positive corelation with June and July precipitation.
