Michael Endes Novels "Momo" and "Infinite History" reflected in their film adaptations

Abstract:

This thesis analyses the novel "Momo" and "The Neverending Story" and their movie versions. The theoretical part contains information about the author and his life. The practical part compares both, the novels and the movies segmented into five categories. Aside from the content and the main characters, the movies and the novels are examined from the angle as fairy tale, society criticism and philosophical message.

Abstract:

Diese Diplomarbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Vergleich der Romane "Momo" und "Die unendliche Geschichte" und deren Verfilmungen. Im theoretischen Teil wird das Leben des Autors beschrieben. Der praktische Teil vergleicht beide Romane und deren Verfilmungen in fünf Kategorien. Es werden der Inhalt und die Hauptpersonen verglichen. Dazu werden noch drei weitere Kategorien - Roman/Film als Märchen, als Kritik der Gesellschaftskritik und der philosophische Aspekt - in beiden Versionen betrachtet.
