History of the Criminalistics

Abstract:

Cílem práce je podat ucelený přehled vývoje historie kriminalistiky. Po vymezení kriminalistiky se v této práci věnuji vymezení jednotlivých milníků jejího vývoje, a to od pravěku až po 20. století. V práci se zejména zabývám 19. a 20. stoletím, které byly pro kriminalistiku nejvýznamějšími. S tímto obdobím jsou spojena i velká jména kriminalistiky, jako například Jan Evangelista Purkyně nebo Hanz Gross, a těmto historickým postavám je věnována jedna celá kapitola. Dále se má pozornost přesunula na vybrané kriminalistické metody a poté na vývoj kriminalistiky na našem území. Práce je zakončena vývojem kriminalistiky u četnictva, který na našem území představoval významnou kapitolu.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the history of criminalistics. After description what is criminalistics, I pursue with the important parts of the history from prehistory to 20th century. In this thesis I deal mostly with 19th and 20th century, which were the most important in the history of criminalistics. With this part of the history are conected big names of criminalistics like Jan Evangelista Purkyně or Hanz Gross, and a separate chapter is devoted to these names. Furthemore, my attention has shifted towards selected criminalistic methods and to the development of criminalistics in our country. The thesis ends with the development of criminalistics in the gendarmerie, which in our country represented a great chapter.
