Possibilities of application of Reaganomics and Thatcherism to the world economy in the 21st century

Anotácia:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou reaganomiky a thatcherismu v letech kdy byly poprvé zaváděny a analýzou současných ekonomik České republiky, Velké Británie a Spojených států amerických. Cílem práce je zhodnotit, zdali je možná aplikace těchto koncepcí právě na tyto současné ekonomiky. K dosažení tohoto cíle byla použita kombinace kvalitativních a kvantitativních výzkumných metod, včetně analýzy makroekonomických dat a jejich komparace. Výsledky ukazují, že zatímco principy reaganomiky a thatcherismu přispěly k ekonomickému růstu v minulosti, jejich účinnost v současnosti závisí na specifických podmínkách jednotlivých zemí. Práce dochází k závěru, že aplikace těchto politik v České republice, Velké Británii a Spojených státech vyžaduje pečlivé přizpůsobení, aby byla zajištěna jejich efektivita.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the analysis of Reaganomics and Thatcherism during the years when these policies were first introduced, as well as the analysis of the current economies of the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The aim of the thesis is to assess whether these concepts can be applied to these contemporary economies. To achieve this aim, a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods was used, including the analysis and comparison of macroeconomic data. The results indicate that while the principles of Reaganomics and Thatcherism contributed to economic growth in the past, their effectiveness today depends on the specific conditions of each country. The thesis concludes that the application of these policies in the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, and the United States requires careful adaptation to ensure their effectiveness.
