Comparison of zinc determination by photometric method and atomic absorption spectrophotometry

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou zinku a metodami jeho stanovení. Dále je součástí práce i vyhodnocení základních analytických znaků, především metody atomové absorpční spektrofotometrie. Stanovení zinku je v této práci porovnáno dvěma metodami, a to fotometrickou metodou na analyzátoru BECKMAN COULTER AU 5800 a atomovou absorpční spektrofotometrií na analyzátoru contrAA800. Porovnání metod je statisticky vyhodnoceno pomocí diferenčních grafů a regresní analýzy. Porovnání metod, i z jiných hledisek, může přispět k určení výhod a nevýhod obou metod a tím doporučit optimální metodu pro potřeby dané klinické laboratoře. Hlavním výsledkem této práce je, že obě metody vydávají srovnatelné výsledky.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of zinc and methods of its determination. The thesis also includes an evaluation of basic analytical characteristics, especially the method of atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Zinc determination is compared by two methods in this thesis, the photometric method on the BECKMAN COULTER AU 5800 analyzer and atomic absorption spectrophotometry on the contrAA800 analyzer. The comparison of methods is statistically evaluated using difference plots and regression analysis. Comparing methods, also from other aspects, can cotribute to determining the advantages and disadvantages of both methods, thus recommending the optimal method for the needs of the specific clinical laboratory. The main result of this thesis is that both methods provide comparable results.
