Water quality in the Byci skala underground river system

Abstract:

V této práci jsem se zabývala změnami ve složení vod Jedovnického potoka, který se v oblasti Rudické plošiny u obce Rudice obohacuje o vodu z ČOV Rudice a dále proudí jeskynním systémem až do Křtinského údolí, kde vyvěrá. Cílem práce bylo zdokumentování úrovně kontaminace vod vstupujících do jeskynního systému Býčí skály. Mimo změny ve složení vod v jednotlivých úsecích toku mě zajímaly i změny v průběhu času. K tomu bylo třeba odebírání vzorků vod v každém ročním období před, uvnitř a za jeskynním systémem. Součástí odběru vzorků bylo naměření hodnot pH, Eh, elektrolytické konduktivity a koncentrace rozpuštěného kyslíku pomocí multimetru s příslušnými sondami a následné laboratorní měření CHSK a BSK. Výsledkem bylo zjištění, že změny ve složení vod a samočisticí schopnost jsou patrné pouze v době nízkých vodních stavů a při rychlém průtoku, kdy je vody hodně, se znečištěná voda průtokem jeskyní nepročistí.

Abstract:

In this thesis, I dealt with the changes in the composition of water of the Jedovnice stream which enriches with the water of ČOV Rudice in the area of Rudice plateau near the village Rudice and flows through the cave system until Křtiny valley, where spews. The aim of the theses was to document the level of contamination of water entering into the cave system Býčí skála. Outside the changes in the water composition in each section of water flow I was also interested in the changes over time. The necessity to this thesis was taking the samples of water in every season of the year before, in and behind the cave system. The measuring of values pH, Eh, electrolytic conductivity and dissolved oxygen concentration with a multimeter with relevant probes and subsequent laboratory measurements of COD and BOD was part of taking the samples. The outcome was the discovery in changes in the composition of water and self-cleaning ability are evident only in the period of low water levels and during fast flow when the water is on high level, the polluted water does not clean after the flow of the cave.
