Documentation and evaluation of former Auersperg´s industrial production in Slatiňany and surroundings from point of view historical monuments

Abstract:

Účelem této práce je zdokumentovat a vyhodnotit hospodářské a průmyslové aktivity rodu Auerspergů ve Slatiňanech a v jejich okolí z pohledu památkové péče. První kapitola popisuje město Slatiňany se zámkem a sídlem rodu Auerpsergů. Dále je tento rod dějinně charakterizován se zaměřením na majitele nasavrckého panství od roku 1746. Další kapitola se zaměřuje na nasavrcké panství, které Auerspergové spravovali, zaobírá se jednotlivými knížecími podniky a i historií panství předtím, než se stalo rodovou državou. Poslední kapitola dokumentuje zachovalé historické statky popsané v předchozích kapitolách a hodnotí je z pohledu památkové péče. Závěr shrnuje alternativy využití dochovaných průmyslových objektů a možné způsoby jejich zapojení do současného kontextu kulturního a historického zájmu.

Abstract:

The purpose of this thesis is to document and to evaluate theeconomic and industrial activities of the family of Auerspergin Slatiňany and its neighbourhood in terms of the historic conservation. The first chapter describes the town of Slatiňanywith a castle and a seat of the family of Auerpserg.Consequently, this family is historically characterised with concentration on the owners of the manor of Nasavrky since1746. The next chapter focuses on the manor of Nasavrky thatwas administrated by the Auerpergs and it deals with the individual princely businesses and with the history of the manor until it became the family domain. The final chapterdocuments the well-preserved historical assets described in the previous chapters and it evaluates them from the perspective of the historic conservation. The conclusions summarize thealternatives of utilisation of the well-preserved industrial buildings and the possible ways of their involvement into a contemporary context of the cultural and historical interest.
