Práce se zabývá terminologicko-estetickým vymezením singer-songwriter neboli písničkáře. V terminologické části přináší syntézu dosavadních náhledů na tento jev. Kořeny písničkářství sahají do lidové a později folkové oblasti, nejrozšířenějším typem je pozdější skupina amerických autorů 60. a 70. let 20. století, kteří spadají pod soft-rock. Abstract:
The thesis focuses on the phenomenon of the "singer-songwriter", which is primarily connected with the American group of authors from the end of the 1960s and through the 1970s that belongs to the acoustic subgenre of rock music called soft-rock.
