Quality of life of woman with urinary incontinence

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je kvalita života žen s močovou inkontinencí. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak moc močová inkontinence ovlivňuje kvalitu života žen v různých oblastech života a která oblast je nejvíce ovlivňovaná močovou inkontinencí. Práce je rozdělená na část teoretickou a na část výzkumnou. Teoretická část je zaměřená na problematiku močové inkontinence. Shrnuji zde definici močové inkontinence, výskyt, klasifikaci, příčiny, diagnostiku a terapii močové inkontinence. Dále se práce zabývá kvalitou života. Vymezuji zde definici kvality života a hodnocení vlivu močové inkontinence na kvalitu života. Zde jsem také uvedla studie, které se zabývají problematikou močové inkontinence na kvalitu života. V empirické části se zabývám tím, v jaké oblasti močová inkontinence ovlivňuje kvalitu života žen nejvíce. Zjišťuji zde výzkumné úkoly a vyhodnocuji hypotézy. Osloveno bylo 53 žen s diagnostikovanou močovou inkontinencí. Výzkum byl realizován pomocí standardizovaného dotazníku King´s Health Questionnaire (KHQ). Z výsledků mého výzkumu vyplývá, že nejvíce močová inkontinence ovlivňuje ženy v nutnosti nošení hygienických vložek nebo plen a při provádění fyzických aktivit. Nejmenší ovlivnění ženy pociťují v rodinném životě.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the quality of women´s lives with urinary incontinence. The main aim of the thesis was to find out how urinary incontinence affects the quality of women´s lives in various areas of daily life and which area of their lives is the most influenced by urinary incontinence. The thesis is divided into two parts theoretical and research. The theoretical part is focused on questions of urinary incontinence. Here I summarize the term of urinary incontinence, occurrences, classification, causes, diagnosis and therapy of urinary incontinence. The thesis is also concerned with the quality of life. I define the term of quality of life and the assessment of the impact of urinary incontinence on the quality of life. In this part I mention studies which describe urinary incontinence and its negative influence on quality of life. The empirical part deals with the urinary incontinence and its impact on the quality of women´s lives. I find out research tasks and evaluate hypothesis. 53 women with urinary incontinence diagnosis were asked to complete the questionnaire. This research used the standardized King´s Health Questionnaire (KHQ). Results of my research say that urinary incontinence influence women in necessity of wearing sanitary towels and in limitation during physical activities. The smallest affecting women feel in family life.
