The Profession of the Primary School Teacher from the Perspective of Teachers and the Public

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci bych se chtěla zaměřit na názory učitelů a veřejnosti na profesi učitele 1. stupně ZŠ. Čím dál více se setkávám s názorem, že je učitelská profese jednoduchá, časově nenáročná a například nadmíru finančně ohodnocena. Chtěla bych tedy provést kvantitativní výzkum, kdy srovnám pohled učitelů 1. stupně, a poté pohled široké veřejnosti – různé věkové kategorie. Myslím si totiž, že je učitelská profese dost podceňována a svým výzkumem z pohledu učitelů bych chtěla ukázat, jak moc náročná profese to je a co vše obnáší. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit pohled učitelů a veřejnosti na profesi učitele 1. stupně ZŠ. Jaký pohled mají na svou profesi učitelé a jak ji vnímají například z pohledu náročnosti. Jak vnímají učitele lidé, kteří mají jiné povolání a jak náročná se jim zdá tato profese. Metodologie výzkumné části bude opřena o kvantitativní design, hlavním nástrojem pro sběr dat bude dotazník vlastní konstrukce.

Abstract:

In my master thesis I would like to focus on the opinions of teachers and the public about the profession of primary school teachers. More and more I encounter the opinion that the teaching profession is simple, time-saving and, for example, overly financially rewarded. So I would like to conduct a quantitative research, comparing the view of the first grade teachers and then the view of the general public - different age categories. I think that the teaching profession is quite underestimated and I would like to show how demanding it is and what it entails by doing research from the teachers' point of view. The aim of this thesis is to find out the teachers' and the public's view of the profession of a primary 1 teacher. What view do teachers have of their profession and how do they perceive it, for example, in terms of its demands. How people who have other professions perceive teachers and how demanding they find this profession. The methodology of the research part will be based on a quantitative design, the main tool for data collection will be a questionnaire of own construction.
