Free Will and Responsibility

Abstract:

V této práci jsou rozebírány dva základní pojmy a to svobodná vůle a odpovědnost. Práce je rozdělena na tři hlavní části a to svobodnou vůli, odpovědnost a trestní politiku, která se svobodnou vůlí a odpovědností úzce souvisí. V úvodu práce se zaměřuju především na svobodnou vůli. Snažím se popsat co svobodná vůle je a její existenci a uvědomění. Následně se zaměřuji na významné teorie svobodné vůle jako je determinismus, indeterminismus, kompatibilismus a libertarianismus. Tyto teorie se snažím popsat a pochopit jejích hlavní myšlenky. V další části se zaměřuji na odpovědnost jak právní tak morální a jejich vzájemný vztah. V poslední části této práce se snažím popsat vztah svobodné vůle a odpovědnosti v trestí politice. Zaměřuji se tedy na to co je trest a jaký má vliv na společnost. V této kapitole vysvětluji dvě základní teorie trestání a to retributivismus a konsekvencialismus.

Abstract:

In this thesis are discussed two basic concepts – free will and responsibility. The thesis is divided into three parts and to free will, responsibility and criminal policy, which is closely related to free will and responsibility. At the beginning of the thesis i focus primarily on free will. I try to describe what is free will and if it exists. Then i focus on significant theories of free wil as determinism, indeterminism, compatibilism and libertarianism. This theories i try to describe and understand the main ideas. Next part of the thesis i to try describe legal and moral responsibility. And in last part of the thesis i describe a relationship between free will and responsibility in criminal policy. I focus what is punishment. In this chapter i explain two main theories retributivism and consequentialism.
