Cultural Autonomy of Indigenous Peoples in Latin America

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá problematiku kulturní autonomie domorodých obyvatel v Latinské Americe. Domorodé obyvatelstvo se dodnes stává terčem asimilace a diskriminace. Často je znevýhodňováno a nedisponuje všemi právy, které jim náleží. První část práce je věnovaná metodologii a cíli práce. V druhé části jsou vymezeny základní pojmy. Třetí část práce zkoumá postavení domorodých obyvatel v jednotlivých státech podle daných kritérií. V poslední části práce je vytvořena typologie latinskoamerických států podle jejich přístupu k problematice původních obyvatel.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis examines the issue of cultural autonomy of indigenous peoples in Latin America. The indigenous population is still the target of assimilation and discrimination. They are often disadvantaged and do not have all the rights they should have. The first part of the work is devoted to the methodology and goals of the work. The second part defines the basic concepts. The third part of the thesis examines the position of indigenous peoples in individual states according to the given criteria. In the last part of the work, a typology of Latin American countries is created according to their approach to the issue.
