Logistics Infrastructure of the Czech Republic and its Connection to Global Network

Abstract:

My final master thesis will describe the importance of logistics infrastructure for trade, business, export of goods and for the whole country as well. High quality of logistics services, which we can’t imagine without advanced infrastructure, allows saving money and time. The main hypothesis of this paper: developed logistics infrastructure not just solves all the basic tasks of national and international goods logistics, but in addition helps to save time and money, bringing more additional benefits for businesses, national markets and country’s economy at all. The objective of this paper: to evaluate logistics infrastructure of the Czech Republic and compare it to less and more developed countries from logistics point of view, prove the above stated hypothesis, define problems and weak sides of logistics infrastructure in ČR and work out the possible solutions and propose improvement steps. First of all I will tell briefly about logistics, its history, application, subjects, goals, philosophy. Then I would like to present a review of contemporary trends in logistics. And the main part will include description, valuation and analysis of logistics infrastructure of the Czech Republic. What impact it has now and how to improve the quality of logistics services. I will use Semiotics as one of the methods of analysis in my future thesis.
