Diplomová práce se zabývá postoji dospělých osob ke smrti a umírání. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. První část je část teoretická, ta je rozdělena na tři kapitoly. Tato část se zabývá základním pojmům, tabuizací smrti, příčinami umírání, thanatologií, projevům ztráty, kvalitou života umírajících, paliativní péčí, procesem umírání a eutanázií. The thesis deals with attitudes of adults to death and dying. The work is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical, that is divided into three chapters. This section covers the basic concepts, the taboo of death, causes of death, thanatology, speech loss, quality of life dying, palliative care, the process of dying and euthanasia.
