Voltammetric determination of herbicide metribuzin using silver solid amalgam electrode

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá voltametrickým stanovením herbicidu metribuzinu s využitím dvou modifikací stříbrné pevné amalgámové elektrody. Nejprve byla zpracována problematika voltametrických technik a pesticidů resp. herbicidů a poté byly popsány konkrétní voltametrické techniky již publikované pro stanovení metribuzinu. Z řady experimentů byly nalezeny optimální podmínky pro stanovení metribuzinu metodou diferenční pulzní voltametrie s využitím obou variant stříbrné pevné amalgámové elektrody a pro srovnání i visící rtuťové kapkové elektrody. Získané výsledky byly porovnány s již publikovanými technikami pro stanovení tohoto herbicidu. Navržená metoda byla úspěšně využita pro stanovení metribuzinu v říčních vodách a pesticidním přípravku.

Abstract:

This thesis concerns in voltammetric determination of herbicide metribuzin using two modifications of silver solid amalgam electrode. Firstly, the topics like voltammetric techniques, pesticides, and herbicides, respectively, were briefly introduced. Then, detailed description of the already published voltammetric methods for determination of this herbicide was also summarized. Optimal conditions of the voltammetric determination of metribuzin using differential pulse voltammetry in combination with both silver solid amalgam electrodes and with hanging mercury drop electrode for comparison were found from the appropriate set of the experiments. The obtained results were compared with those discussed in the articles focusing on voltammetric determination and behaviour of metribuzin. The proposed method was successfully applied for determination of metribuzin in the samples of river water and pesticide preparation.
