Integrating Women after Maternity and Parental Leave into the Labour Market in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je vyhodnotit začleňování žen po mateřské a rodičovské dovolené na trh práce, úloha institucí veřejné správy a státní intervence v rámci proaktivní rodinné politiky, která souvisí se zaměstnaností žen po mateřské a rodičovské dovolené. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na postavení žen v pracovním procesu, dále je věnována charakteristice pojmů souvisejících s tématem těhotenství a práce, forem dovolených v rámci péče o dítě, poté následuje popis návratu žen na trh práce. Výzkumná část je zaměřena na návrat žen – matek na trh práce po mateřské a rodičovské dovolené, na překážky, se kterými se ženy potýkají. Výsledkem bakalářské práce bude vyhodnocení sociálních a ekonomických faktorů, se kterými se ženy setkávají. V bakalářské práci byly využity metody dotazníkového šetření pomocí deskriptivní statistiky a grafického znázornění.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor dissertation is to evaluate the integration of women into the job market after maternity and parental leave. It also concentrates on the role of public service institutions and government intervention within the proactive family framework, which is related to the employment of women after maternity and parental leave. The theoretical part focuses on position of women in return-to-work process, further it is devoted to the characteristics and terminology related to the topics of pregnancy and work, forms of childcare related statutory leave, followed by description of process of women returning to job market. The research part is focused on the return of women/mothers to work after maternity and parental leave and the obstacles that they face on that journey. The outcome of this bachelor dissertation will be an evaluation of the social and economic factors that women encounter during that process. During my research I have used methods of questionnaire investigation using descriptive statistics and graphic representation.
