This bachelor thesis deals with the depiction and interpretation of the representation of the god of the seas Poseidon/Neptune in literature and art. The works of ancient authors will be examined, which dealing with Greco-Roman mythology. Poseidon/Neptune was a prominent god in ancient world who was depicted in art.
