Resuscitation with the Use of an Automated External Defibrillator

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je resuscitace s použitím automatizovaného externího defibrilátoru (dále jen AED). Tento přístroj se stal neoddělitelnou a potřebnou součástí při neodkladné přednemocniční péči. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části je blíže popsáno srdce a jeho fungování, abychom věděli, při jakých obtížích s ním spojených se přístroj AED používá. Je zde obecně popsána defibrilace, první pomoc a legislativa právní pomoci. Také zde nalezneme podrobné schéma, které se používá při neodkladné resuscitaci za použití přístroje AED. Jde o doporučení první pomoci při neodkladné resuscitaci dle Guidelines 2021. Tato doporučení se každých 5 let mění, proto je potřeba pro lepší úspěšnost doporučení sledovat. Samozřejmě je zde věnována obsáhlá kapitola přístroji AED a jeho návodu. Podíváme se i do historie, jak přístroj v průběhu času vznikal. V praktické části je za pomoci dotazníku oslovena veřejnost, aby se zjistilo, jak je na tom se znalostmi ohledně přístroje AED a jak je na tom celkově při poskytování neodkladné resuscitace. Zda by se v tomto ohledu měla vyvinout větší iniciativa pro to, aby se důležité informace sloužící pro záchranu lidského života více šířili mezi veřejnost.

Abstract:

The subject of my bachelor thesis is resuscitation with the Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (further referred to as AED). This machine has become an essential and required part for immediate premedical help. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, there is a closer description of human hurt, and it works, to demonstrated what are the cases suitable for using the AED. You can find there a general description of the process of defibrillation, first aid, and the legal side of first aid. In this part, we cannot miss a detailed scheme, which is used for immediate resuscitation using the AED machine. The scheme is according to recommendations for providing first aid resuscitation by Guidelines 2021. Those recommendations are updated every 5 years, for better success with providing first aid it's necessary to be in line with the newest version. You can also find there a comprehensive chapter dedicated to the AED machine and its instructions. We will look into the history of the machine and its evolution in time. The practical part covers the level of knowledge regarding using AED machines and immediate resuscitation in a wide population, which was determined by a questionnaire. The goal was to determine if there is a need for further initiatives to spread key information on how to save human lives to a wide population.
