Nové nařízení Brusel I bis je s dílčími výjimkami od 10. ledna 2015 přímým právním nástupcem starého nařízení Brusel I, které obdobně ještě předtím s účinností od 1. května 2004, respektive od 1. března 2002, nahradilo Bruselskou úmluvu. The new Brussels I bis Regulation is the direct legal successor of the old Brussels I Regulation since 10 January 2015 (excluding some minor issues) and the old Brussels I Regulation is the direct legal successor of the Brussels Convention since 1 May 2004 or rather since 1 March 2002.
