The differences between the translations of work The conscience of words
Abstract:
In my diploma thesis I try to compare the translations of the work The conscience of words by Elias Canetti. The czech versions were created by translators Jiří Stromšík, Zdeněk Jančařík and one essay by Viola Fischerová. The target of this work is to point to different styles of these translations and occurrence of mistakes.
Abstract:
Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám srovnáváním překladů díla Svědomí slov od autora Eliase Canettiho. České verze pochází od překladatelů Jiřího Stromšíka, Zdeňka Jančaříka a jedna esej od Violy Fischerové. Cílem práce je poukázat na odlišné styly jednotlivých překladů a výskyt chyb.
