Civic Democratic Party and Inner-Party Crisis

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je průběh vnitrostranické krize Občanské demokratické strany a reakce jejích členů na krizovou situaci. Práce se orientuje na otázku jednotnosti občanských demokratů. První část detailně mapuje vnitrostranické dění po vypuknutí krize v červnu 2013 do ledna 2014. Dále se bakalářská práce ve druhé části věnuje výzkumu názorů občanských demokratů a jejich (ne)jednoty na řešení vnitrostranické krize, a to pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Práce se mimo jiné věnuje vztahu názorové plurality a pozice ve stranické hierarchii. Poslední část komparuje krizi ODS v roce 1997 se situací v roce 2013.

Abstract:

Topic of this thesis is the period of inner-party crisis of Civic Democratic Party and responses of its members. The thesis focuses on the question of unity of party members at crisis moments. The first part describes in detail inner party events from the beginning of crisis on 13th June until January 2014. Secondly, the thesis deals with the research of member´s opinions to solution of the inner-party crisis. Member´s opinions are explored by questionnaires. The research question includes the relation between disunity of attitudes and the position in party´s hierarchy. Final part compares the crisis of Civic Democratic Party in 1997 and the crisis in 2013.
