Rigorózní práce se věnuje konceptu místa a jeho zařazení do geografického vzdělávání na gymnáziu. Pozornost se tak upíná k významu místa, prožité zkušenosti, prostorové každodennosti, emocím a identitě místa. This thesis deals with the concept of place and its inclusion into geographic education at grammar school. Attention is clamped to the sense of place, experience, emotions, and identity. The author chose the concept of place as it is conceived in the US Geography Standards and she applied it in the Czech approach to concept of the “local region” which is taught at Czech schools.
