Etiology of refractive errors

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá etiologií refrakčních vad. První část je věnována obecně pojmu etiologie z pohledu různých oborů, dále pak vývoji zraku a změnám refrakčního stavu oka. Následně pojednává o jednotlivých refrakčních vadách jako je myopie, hypermetropie a astigmatismus, které jsou nejdříve obecně popsány a poté je zmíněno jejich rozdělení z hlediska etiologie včetně popisu příčin podílejících se na jejich vzniku. Poslední kapitola se krátce zaměřuje na etiologii anizometropie a její charakteristiku.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis addresses the etiology of refractive errors. The first part introduces the general concept of etiology from the perspective of various disciplines, then the development of vision and changes in the refractive condition of the eye. Subsequently, it discusses distinct refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. Furthermore, it describes the abovementioned errors in general, and their classification in terms of etiology is mentioned, including a description of the causes involved in their formation. The final part focuses briefly on the etiology of anisometropia and its characteristics.
