Two Year-Olds Children in Kindergarten

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem mé bakalářské práce je pohled rodičů a učitelů MŠ na umisťování dvouletých dětí do mateřských škol. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části se zabývám vývojovými specifiky dvouletých dětí a charakteristikou batolecího období. Dále se věnuji přínosům a rizikům, které vyplývají z umisťování dvouletých dětí do MŠ, specifickým potřebám dvouletých dětí a legislativním kontextem vzdělávání těchto dětí. Hlavním cílem empirické části bylo zjistit, zda se názory rodičů a učitelů MŠ liší v otázce umisťování dvouletých dětí do mateřských škol. Dílčími cíli pak bylo porovnání názorů rodičů a učitelů MŠ, v čem se liší vzdělávání dvouletých a starších dětí, co by dítě mělo při nástupu do MŠ umět, jaké přínosy a rizika vyplývají z umisťování dvouletých dětí do MŠ a jako poslední analýza kolik MŠ přijímá dvouleté děti a nakolik jsou tyto MŠ na přijímání dvouletých dětí připravené. K získání výsledků jsem použila kvantitativní metodu a data sbírala pomocí dotazníku. Dotazník byl určený zároveň pro rodiče i učitele MŠ. Učitelé však měli v rámci dotazníku navíc část, týkající se připravenosti jejich MŠ na přijímání dvouletých dětí. Podle provedených analýz se názory učitelů a rodičů na umisťování dvouletých dětí do MŠ mírně liší. Nejvíce se rodiče a učitelé rozcházejí při vnímání hrozících rizik dětem nastupujících do MŠ.

Abstract:

The main topic of my bachelor thesis is the view of parents and kindergarten teachers on putting two-year-old children in a kindergarten. This thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part I deal with the development specifics of two-year-old children and the characteristics of toddler age. I also concentrate on the benefits and risks arising from putting two-year children in kindergarten, the specific needs of two-year-olds and the legislative context of educating such children. The main objective of the empirical part was to find out whether the views of parents and kindergarten teachers differ on the question of putting two-year children in kindergarten. Partial goals were then the comparison of the views of the parents and kindergarten teachers, how educating two-year-olds and older children differ, what a child should be able to do when entering a kindergarten, what benefits and risks there are in putting two-year-old children in kindergarten and as the last one the analysis of how many kindergarten offer putting two-year children in kindergarten and how well-prepared are these schools for the children. I have used a quantitative method to obtain the results and the data have been collected through a questionnaire. The questionnaire was aimed at both parents and kindergarten teachers. The teachers have also received a part of the questionnaire asking how well-prepared their schools are for the two-year-old children. The analyses carried out have shown that the views of the teachers and the parents on putting two-year-old children slightly differ. The most significant difference between the parents and the teachers was their view on potential risks for two-year-olds entering a kindergarten.
