This diploma thesis deals with the determination of the double bond position in lipids with an effort to elucidate the spatial distribution of their positional isomers in different types of biological tissues using mass spectrometry imaging with matrix assisted laser desorption and ionization in conjunction with photochemical Paternò­Büchi reaction – PB MALDI MSI.
