This bachelor thesis is focused on the pronunciation problems of Czech speakers with English vowels. The theoretical part is based on the comparison of Czech and English vowels. If an English vowel has its Czech equivalent, they are compared. The emphasis is put on vowels, which either do not exist in Czech or exist, but are not used. Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na výslovnostní problémy českých mluvčích s anglickými samohláskami. Teoretická část je založena na srovnání českých a anglických samohlásek. Každá anglická samohláska je porovnávána se svým českým protějškem, pokud nějaký má. Důraz je kladen na samohlásky, které v češtině neexistují nebo existují, ale nepoužívají se.
