Abstract:

Anotace: Chasidské hnutí Chabad Ljubavič bylo od počátku 50. let minulého století vedeno Menachemem Mendelem Schneersonem, který se jakožto rebe, duchovní vůdce hnutí, těšil značnému respektu svých chasidů. Za jeho vedení se Chabad stal viditelnou a respektovanou skupinou ve světě soudobého judaismu. Jednou z výrazných charakteristik jeho vůdcovství bylo úsilí směřující ke konečnému vykoupení a příchodu Mošiacha/Mesiáše. Tyto snahy dospěly na konci 80. let do situace, v níž byl on sám částí svých stoupenců prohlášen za předpověděného Mošiacha. Když v r. 1994 zemřel, hnutí si již nového vůdce nevybralo. V předkládané práci si kladu otázku, jakým způsobem se změnilo vůdcovství v hnutí Chabad v souvislosti se smrtí rebeho. Při řešení problému vycházím ze základních principů teorie sítí-aktérů, které mi umožňují přistupovat k rebemu jako k aktéru-síti. Tuto síť mapuji a analyzuji na základě dat získaných etnografickým výzkumem na internetu a v pražském Chabad centru. Hledám vzorce, jimiž je síť utvářena, a popisuji nástroje a materiály, které se podílejí na její stabilitě. Na analýze událostí následujících po smrti rebeho sleduji, k jakým změnám v této síti došlo a prostřednictvím těchto změn objasňuji proměnu vůdcovství.

Abstract:

Since the early 50s s of the last century, the Hasidic movement Chabad Lubavitch had been led by Menachem Mendel Schneerson, who as a Rebe, the spiritual leader of the movement, enjoyed deep respect of his Hasidim. During his leadership, Chabad movement became visible and respected group in the world of contemporary Judaism. One of significant features of his leadership was striving towards the goal of final redemption and the coming of Moschiach/Messiah. In the late 80s this effort instigated a belief in part of his followers that he himself was the foretold Moschiach. When Schneerson died in 1994, the movement did not select a new leader. In the present work, I ask the question of how the leadership of Chabad movement has changed in relation with the death of Rebbe, and try to answer it on the basis of the Actor-Network Theory, which allows me to view the Rebbe as an actor-network.. I map this actor-network through the analysis of data obtained from ethnographic research on the internet and in the Prague Chabad Center. I search for patterns by which the network is shaped and describe tools and materials contributing to its stability. Concentrating on the events following the death of the Rebbe, I observe changes occurring in the network and on the basis of these changes try to explain the change of the leadership.
