The Social Integration of Individuals after Serving a Custodial Sentence

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá hlavními aspekty sociální inkluze, včetně průběhu uvěznění a jeho důsledky. V teoretické části je vymezen pojem výkon trestu odnětí svobody, jeho průběh a důsledky uvěznění. Práce charakterizuje vnímání procesu integrace z pohledu právě propuštěných vězňů. Hlavní část diplomové práce představuje problematiku sociálního postavení osob po propuštění z výkonu trestu odnětí svobody v návaznosti na následnou péči. Práce dále charakterizuje a analyzuje dostupné instituce postpenitenciární péče. Vlastní výzkum je veden kvalitativním šetřením formou narativního rozhovoru. Studovaný soubor tvoří skupina bývalých odsouzených mužů a žen. V závěru práce jsou získané poznatky vyhodnoceny, diskutovány a následně interpretovány.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the main aspects of social inclusion, including the course of imprisonment and its consequences. The theoretical part defines the concept of imprisonment, its course and consequences of imprisonment. The work characterizes the perception of the integration process from the perspective of just released prisoners. The main part of the diploma thesis presents the issue of social status of persons after release from imprisonment in connection with aftercare. The work further characterizes and analyses available institutions of post-penitentiary care. The research itself is conducted by a qualitative survey in the form of a narrative interview. The studied group consists of a group of former convicted men and women. At the end of the work, the acquired knowledge is evaluated, discussed and then interpreted.
