The concept of information and its meaning development in selected domains: information theories and system theories

Anotace:

Bakalářská práce "Vývoj významu pojmu informace ve vybraných oblastech: teorie informace a systémové teorie" se zabývá proměnami v chápání termínu informace. Na začátku je stručně podána etymologie tohoto výrazu, ale většina textu se věnuje změnám v chápání tohoto pojmu v prostředí teorií informace a systémových teorií, tedy konceptů, které stály u zrodu pohledu na informaci jako na objekt externí reality. Práce sleduje proměny v chápání informace v těchto dvou oblastech během 20. století, které vyvrcholily ve dvou extrémních přístupech: absolutním popřením informace v systémových teoriích a přičtením informace k základním složkám vesmíru v informační fyzice. Na závěr jsou uvedeny tři současné teorie představující tři různorodé přístupy, které by mohly přispět k řešení chaosu ve výkladech termínu informace. Smyslem práce není podrobný rozbor jednotlivých teorií, ale vzájemné srovnání souvisejících konceptů se záměrem nalézt původ současného rozostření termínu informace a poukázat na nejasnosti v teoriích pohlížejících na informaci jako na objekt externí reality. Autor v celé práci vyjadřuje své přesvědčení o nevhodnosti paradigmatu považujícího informaci za jednu ze základních složek vesmíru, a to jak pro celou současnou společnost, tak pro jeho domovskou oblast informační vědy.

Abstract:

The bachelor diploma thesis "The concept of information and its meaning development in selected domains: information theories and system theories" is dealing with changes in meaning of term informaion. At the start is brief etymology of this word state. But the main part of this text is dealing with the changes in concept of information in systems and information theories. This approaches have given rise to theory of objective information. The thesis follows up development of word information in selected theories. In the end of 20th century we are faced with two contradictory approaches: denying of objective information in system aprroach and quantum theory of information in theory of information. At the end of thesis are three different contemporary concepts presented. This three concepts could be the way to overcome nowaday chaos about concept of information. The main focus of this text is mutual comparison of related approaches, not detailed analysis of separated concepts. During the thesis its autor points to contradicts in theories of objective information and find this concept inappropriate for current society and for current information science as well.
