Abstract:
Diplomová práce se zabývá vznikem a vývojem detektivní povídky. Dále hledá vliv zakladatele tohoto žánru, E.A.Poea, na detektivní povídky A.C.Doyla. Porovnává jednotlivá literární díla a ukazuje vliv Poea ve třech oblastech; způsobu psaní, zobrazení hlavního hrdiny, jeho pomocníka a zobrazení policie.
Abstract:
This thesis shows the rise and development of detective stories. It also searches for some influences of the founder of detective stories, E.A.Poe, on the detective stories of A.C.Doyle. It compares their works and shows Poe's influence in three fields; the writing style, the depiction of the detective, his companion and the depiction of police.
