Multichannel power supply with current limiter

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je návrh a realizace lineárního zdroje s více výstupy a proudovým omezením v řádech stovek wattů. Návrh obsahuje vylepšenou konstrukci aktivního usměrňovače s velkou účinností, malou vlastní spotřebou a díky tomu jen malé potřeby pasivního chlazení. Pro ochranu vstupního transformátoru má zdroj implementovanou ochranu pro omezení náběžných proudů a ochranu proti zkratovým proudům (tzv. hot swap / in-rush kontrolér). Zdroj je navržen pro ochranu jednotlivých připojených zařízení nezávisle na sobě, díky speciálním obvodům nadproudové ochrany, s možností nezávislého řízení a kontroly stavu. Dále má každá větev možnost přesného měření protékaného proudu, díky velmi přesnému snímači proudu. Práce zahrnuje schéma zapojení zdroje, vhodný výběr součástek a návrh plošných spojů, včetně výpočtů proudové ochrany.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor´s work is the design and implementation of a linear voltage source with multiple outputs and current limit in hundreds of watts. The proposal includes an improved design of active rectifier with high efficiency, low consumption and thus needs only a small passive cooling. In order to protect the input transformer, the voltage source protection is implemented to reduce in rush currents and short circuit currents (hot swap/in-rush controller). The voltage source is designed to protect individual devices connected independently, with a special circuit overcurrent protection with the possibility of independent control and regulating the condition. Furthermore, each lateral has the option of an accurate measurement of current passing through due to a very precise current sensor. The work includes the (voltage source) circuit diagram, proper selection of components and printed circuit board (PCB) design, including calculations of current protection.
