Synthesis of Nanoformulations Based on Modified Hyaluronan for Drug Delivery

Abstract:

Jedním z velkých problémů protirakovinných léčiv je jejich systémová toxicita. Proto je snahou tyto léčiva zabudovat do vhodného nosiče, který by byl schopen léčivo enkapsulovat a uvolnit jej až v rakovinné tkáni. Jednou z možností je využítí nanogelu jako nosiče léčiv. Tato práce se zabývá přípravou nanogelů na bázi selektivně oxidované kyseliny hyaluronové přenášející rakovinné léčivo cisplatinu. Předmětem této práce je úprava podmínek syntézy těchto nanogelů za účelem získání co nejmenších částic. U nanogelů byla charakterizována velikosti hydrodynamického průměru jejich částic, zeta potenciálu a rychlost uvolňování in vitro.

Abstract:

One of the big problems of anticancer drugs is their systemic toxicity. Today's effort aims to incorporate these drugs in a suitable carrier, which would be able to encapsulate this drug and release it after reaching cancer cells. One of the options is to use nanogels as drug carriers. In this work, we prepare nanogels from selectively oxidized hyaluronan which will carry cisplatin as its anticancer drug. The aim of this work is to modify nanogel synthesis conditions to obtain the smallest possible particles. Nanogels were characterized by hydrodynamic radius of their particles, zeta potential, and drug release rates in vitro.
