Between tradition and modernity: Animist realism in O fio das missangas by Mia Couto
Abstract:
This thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is an introduction to animist realism in African literature. The second part presents selected works by Mia Couto in the context of animist realism. In the final part, short stories from the book O fio das missangas are analysed in the same context.
Abstract:
Práce je rozdělená na tři části. V první části je představen animický realismus v africké literatuře. Druhá část představuje vybraná díla Mii Couta v kontextu animického realismu. V závěrečné části jsou v tomto kontextu analyzovány povídky ze sbírky O fio das missangas.
