Diplomová práce začíná shrnutím pojmu advokacie, historického vývoje a právní úpravy včetně rozebrání jednotlivých předpokladů pro výkon advokacie. Druhá část se věnuje profesní etice. Stěžejní je ve druhé části kapitola podrobně rozebírající jednotlivá práva a povinnosti advokátů včetně důsledků jejich porušení ve formě kárného řízení.
