Animations in gallery as a medium of working with space

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá metodou galerijní animace jako metodou zprostředkování výtvarného umění. V této bakalářské práci je však galerijní animace využíta jako metoda zprostředkování architektonického prostoru. První část bakalářské práce vymezuje pojmy galerie a její historii, galerijní či muzejní pedagogiku a hledá rozdíly v označení institucí. Práce vysvětluje galerijní animaci, která je zde obsažena jak v teoretickém tak i v praktickém rámci. Dále je popisována Galerie Benedikta Rejta v Lounech z hlediska její originální rekonstrukce z původního barokního pivovaru a její architekt Emil Přikryl, který byl členem skupiny SIAL. Také je popsáno světlo, jako fenomén ve výtvarném umění obecně a konkrétně jeho funkce v architektuře. V druhé části je popsán animační program, navržený pro prostor Galerie Benedikta Rejta a důvody výběru práce s právě s prostorem a ne s vystavenými díly. V příloze je obsažen navržený a realizovaný animační program, který autorka realizovala v prosinci 2013 a v lednu 2014 pro různé věkové skupiny (715 let, Univerzita třetího věku). Realizovaný program autorka kriticky reflektuje, hledá společné a rozdílné rysy zúčastněných skupin a zamýšlí se na volbou vhodnějších postupů.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with gallery animation as the form of art mediation, but in this work the main theme is gallery animation as the architectural space mediation. The first section defines the concept of the gallery and its history, defines gallery and museum pedagogy and finds differences in these institutions. The work explains gallery animation, which is included in the theoretical and practical framework here. Also the thesis describes Benedict Rejt Gallery in Louny because of its originyl reconstruction from baroque brewery to today´s form. Galerry architect Emil Přikryl, who was a member of the SIAL, is mentioned here, too. Also, there is described light as a phenomenon in the art in general and in the function in architecture here. The second part is about the animation program, which was design especially for the gallery space. Also the reasons for choosing to work with exhibition space only and not with the exhibited works are described in this part. The annex includes designed and relalized animation program, which was realized by author in December 2013 and in January 2014 for different age groups (7-15 years, the University of the Third Age). Common and different features of the participaiting groups are finding and reflecting here by author in the realized program. Author thinks for a choice appropriate procedures.
