To be a Father - Role of Father in Nowadays Family

Anotace:

The content of the thesis talks about the father and his role in nowadays family. The objective of this work is to found out, what kind of role the fathers play in the families. The work itself is divided into two parts: theoretical and empirical. Theoretical part is dedicated to definition of the basic constructs connected to the roles of fathers in the family, e.g. family and its changes through the time or parenthood in the frame of family development cycle. The main topic of the theoretical part of the work is given to the father’s role, its construction and forms in historical context. Empirical part presents the results of the research and tries to answer the question: How do the fathers feel their role in nowadays families?
