Lace and its current form

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá podobami současné krajky a jejich porovnáním s krajkou tradiční. Také se zabývá moderní historií a celkovou současnou situací tohoto oboru uměleckého řemesla u nás. Soustředí se zejména na díla současného českého uměleckého krajkářství a jako výchozí materiál ke zkoumání si bere krajkářské práce představené na pěti ročnících Bienále české krajky ve Vamberku. Zde vystavené artefakty představují dostatečně reprezentativní soubor současné české krajkářské tvorby, které účastí na této platformě potvrzují, že překračují hranice řemeslné práce a mají zároveň ambice být uměním. Tato práce se snaží díla popsat a kvantifikovat zejména z hlediska použité techniky a popisuje nově vznikající techniky autorské. Snaží se také vyvodit ze získaných poznatků náznak určitého trendu v současném uměleckém krajkářství.

Abstract:

This work deals with contemporary forms of lace and matching them with traditional lace. It also examines the modern history and current situation of the overall field of arts and crafts with us. It focuses mainly on the works of contemporary Czech art and lace-making as a basis to investigate takes lace work presented in the five years of Czech Lace Biennial in Vamberk. Here, artifacts are exposed to a sufficiently representative set of contemporary Czech lace-making to participate in this platform confirms that cross borders craftsmanship and they also have ambitions to be art. This paper seeks to describe and quantify the work particularly in terms of techniques used and describes new emerging techniques. They also draw on the lessons learned hint of a trend in contemporary art lace.
