Abstract:

Diplomová práce, která je zaloţená na terénním výzkumu v Indii, je věnována tématu zabývajícímu se situací indické vdané ţeny v oblasti Bundelkhand, v regionech Banda a Čitrakut, které oba leţí v severním státě Uttar Pradeš. Pozornost je kladena zvláště na problémy, mající vliv na postavení ţeny a na strategie, které ţena volí k jejich překonávání. Další témata, která souvisí s pozicí ţeny a kterými se studie dále zabývá, jsou problematika vzdělávání, zaměstnanosti ţen, věna, brzkých sňatků, satí, domácího násilí apod. Cílem práce je podat ucelený obraz a analýzu problematiky související s postavením ţeny v Indii.

Abstract:

The thesis which is based on a field research in India is devoted to the subject being concerned with the situation of a married Indian woman in the Bundelkhand area, in the regions of Banda and Chitrakut. Both regions are situated in the north state Uttar Pradesh. Problems which have a great influence on the Woman Status and strategies she chooses to overcome them are paid special attention. Other subject which are connected with the woman status and the study continues dealing with are problems of Education and Employment of women, Dowry, early marriages, sati, domesic violence etc. The goal of the thesis is to completly inform and analyse the problems connected with the woman status in India.
