Analýza sítí platebních kanálů: Raiden Network a Lightning Network

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce jsou platební kanály, jedno z řešení škálování blockchainu. Hlavním cílem této práce je analyzovat reálné charakteristiky, výhody a nevýhody dvou implementací platebních kanálů, Lightning Network a Raiden Network. Za účelem splnění hlavního cíle práce autor provedl empirickou činnost, která je rozdělena do 3 fází. V první fázi autor vypracoval přehled existujících sítí platebních kanálů společně s jejich stručným popisem a kategorizací. Ve druhé fázi autor navrhuje univerzální analytický rámec pro hodnocení sítí platebních kanálů. V poslední fázi vytvořený analytický rámec využívá za účelem analýzy dvou existujících sítí platebních kanálů, Lightning Network a Raiden Network.Hlavním výstupem této diplomové práce je komparativní analýza dvou sítí platebních kanálů: Lightning Network a Raiden Network.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is off-chain payment channels, one of the blockchain scaling solutions. The main aim of this work is to analyse the real-world characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages of two implementations of off-chain payment channels, namely the Lightning Network and the Raiden Network. To fulfil the main objective of this thesis, the author performed empirical work, which is divided into three stages. In the first stage, the author performed an overview of existing payment channel networks, with a brief description and categorisation. In the second stage, the author proposed a general-purpose analytical framework for evaluation of the payment channel networks. In the last stage, the author utilised the created framework and analysed the two existing payment channel networks, namely the Lighting Network and the Raiden Network. The main outcome of this diploma thesis is a comparative analysis of the two working payment channel networks, namely the Lightning Network and the Raiden Network.
