Bohumila Šretrová in Sorbian literature

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá životem a literární tvorbou Bohumily Šretrové, především pak jejími lužickosrbskými historicko-biografickými romány. V biografii autorky je kladen důraz na vztah k Lužickým Srbům. Biografické romány jsou věnovány lužickosrbským kulturním osobnostem a jejich literárním dílům, které měly zapůsobit a povzbudit národní vědomí Srbů. V tomto boji za národní identitu nejmenšího slovanského národa je česká literátka významnou osobností, protože posílila česko-lužické vztahy a obohatila lužickosrbskou literaturu. Nicméně v českém prostředí je tato spisovatelka opomíjena, proto je cílem, této práce podat co nejcelistvější přehled jejích literárních děl. Do bibliografie jsou zahrnuty jak romány, tak její publicistické příspěvky v kulturních, literárních lužickosrbských časopisech a novinách. Dílo autorky je úzce spjato s přehledem vývoje srbské historické prózy; v tomto kontextu pak autorka navázala svými romány.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with Bohumila Šretrovas´s life and literary work, especially her Lusatian-Serb historical-biographical novels. In her biography she mainly points out the relationship to the Lusatian Serbs. In the biographical novels are introduced Lusatian Serb cultural figures and their literary work that should have made impress and encouraged the national self-confidence of the Serbs. This Czech authoress is a significant personality in the struggle for the national identity of the smallest Slavic nation because she strengthened Czech Lusatian relationship and she also enriched Lusatian-Serb literatura. Nevertheless she is neglected in Czech ambiance. Therefore the goal of the thesis is to give the undivided summary of her literary work. The bibliography includes novels as well as her journalistic contributions in cultural and literary Lusatian-Serb magazines and newspapers. The authoress´s s work is closely linked and built on the summary of the development of the Serbian historical prose.
