Diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem české a slovenské sociální demokracie od jejího počátku, který sahá do druhé poloviny 19. století až po současnost. V jednotlivých historických etapách zkoumá hlavní problémy, se kterými se sociální demokracie potýkala. Po roce 1989 je popis zaměřen zvlášť na českou a na slovenskou sociální demokracii. This dissertation deals with the development of Czech and Slovak social democracy from its very beginnings, which goes back to the 19th century and lasts till now. In different historical periods it examines main problems which social democracy has been confronted with.
