The use of isokinetic dynamometry for diagnosing strength abilities of elite junior tennis players

Abstract:

Diagnostika úrovně výkonnostních předpokladů sportovců je nedílnou součástí tréninkového procesu. Mezi významné faktory ovlivňující sportovní výkon v tenisu patří faktor kondice, zejména pak rychlostní a silová schopnost. Jednostranný charakter zátěže při herních činnostech má negativní vliv na pohybový systém tenistů, dochází často ke vzniku svalových dysbalancí, zejména na horní polovině těla, které mohou vést ke vzniku zranění. Výzkumná studie byla realizována u čtyř záměrně vybraných souborů (n=40, věk 12–14 let). Výzkumné soubory tvořili tenisté (TEN_H, n=10), tenistky (TEN_D, n=10), dále soubor nesportujících hochů (CS_H, n=10) a dívek (CS_D, n=10). Diagnostika síly byla provedena metodami izometrické a izokinetické dynamometrie se zaměřením na svalové skupiny předloktí (izometrická dynamometrie) a dále pak na svalové skupiny zápěstí, ramen a kolen (izokinetická dynamometrie). Pro testování věcné významnosti diferencí středních hodnot byl použit výpočet Cohen’s d. Komparace výsledků diagnostiky izometrické a izokinetické síly mezi soubory TEN_H a CS_H ukázala významně vyšší úroveň izometrické síly pravé ruky ve prospěch souboru TEN_H. U souboru TEN_H byla zjištěna významná laterální diference síly ve prospěch dominantní končetiny. Úroveň izokinetické síly (90°·s-1) extenzorů a flexorů zápěstí pravé i levé ruky byla významně vyšší ve prospěch souboru TEN_H. V případě flexorů zápěstí byla u souboru TEN_H zjištěna významná laterální diference síly ve prospěch dominantní končetiny. Úroveň izokinetické síly (300°·s-1) extenzorů a flexorů zápěstí pravé i levé ruky byla významně vyšší ve prospěch souboru TEN_H. U souboru CS_H byla v případě extenzorů zápěstí pravé ruky zjištěna významná laterální diference síly. Úroveň izokinetické síly (180°·s-1) externích a interních rotátorů ramene pravé i levé ruky byla významně vyšší ve prospěch souboru TEN_H. U souboru TEN_H byla v případě interních rotátorů ramene zjištěna významná laterální diference síly ve prospěch dominantní končetiny. Úroveň izokinetické síly (300°·s-1) interních rotátorů ramene pravé ruky a úroveň síly externích i interních rotátorů ramene levé ruky byla významně vyšší ve prospěch souboru TEN_H. Úroveň izokinetické síly (180°·s-1) a (300°·s-1) extenzorů a flexorů kolene pravé i levé nohy byla významně vyšší ve prospěch souboru TEN_H. Komparace výsledků diagnostiky izometrické a izokinetické síly mezi soubory TEN_D a CS_D ukázala významně vyšší úroveň izometrické síly pravé ruky ve prospěch souboru TEN_D. U souboru TEN_D byla u pravé ruky zjištěna významná laterální diference síly. Úroveň izokinetické síly (90°·s-1) extenzorů a flexorů zápěstí pravé ruky byla významně vyšší ve prospěch souboru TEN_D. U levé ruky byla zjištěna významně vyšší síla extenzorů zápěstí. V případě extenzorů zápěstí pravé ruky byla u souboru TEN_D zjištěna významná laterální diference síly. Úroveň izokinetické síly (300°·s-1) extenzorů a flexorů zápěstí pravé ruky byla významně vyšší ve prospěch souboru TEN_D. U levé ruky byla zjištěna významně vyšší síla flexorů zápěstí. U souboru TEN_D byla v případě extenzorů zápěstí pravé ruky zjištěna významná laterální diference síly. Úroveň izokinetické síly (180°·s-1) externích a interních rotátorů ramene pravé ruky byla významně vyšší ve prospěch souboru TEN_D. Abstract:

Diagnosing the level of performance prerequisites of the sportsmen is an integral part of the training process. The fitness factors, in particular speed and strength, are among important factors affecting performance in tennis. The unilateral character of the load during game activities has a negative impact on the tennis player locomotor system, often resulting in muscle imbalances, especially in the upper half of the body, which can contribute to the occurrence of injury. The research study was conducted in four purposefully chosen groups (n = 40, age 12-14 years). The research groups consisted of male tennis players (TEN_H, n = 10), female tennis players (TEN_D, n = 10), and a group of non-athletic boys (CS_H, n = 10) and girls (CS_D, n = 10). The strength diagnosis was performed by applying the isometric and isokinetic dynamometry methods, focusing on muscle groups of the forearm (isometric dynamometry) and, further on, on muscle groups of the wrist, shoulder and knees (isokinetic dynamometry). The Cohen's d calculation was used to test material significance of differences in the mean values. Comparison of results of isometric and isokinetic strength diagnostics between the TEN_H and CS_H groups showed a significantly higher level of the right hand isometric strength in favour of the TEN_H group. A significant lateral strength difference was found in the TEN_H group in favour of the dominant extremity. The level of isokinetic strength (90°·s-1) of the extensors and flexors of the right and left hand wrists was significantly higher in favour of the TEN_H group. In case of the wrist flexors, the TEN_H group was found to have significant lateral strength difference in favour of the dominant extremity. The level of isokinetic strength (300°·s-1) of the extensors and flexors of the right and left hand wrists was significantly higher in favour of the TEN_H group. In the CS_H group, a significant lateral strength difference was established in case of right hand wrist extenders. The level of isokinetic strength (180°·s-1) of the external and internal left and right hand arm rotators was explicitly higher in favour of the TEN_H group. In case of internal shoulder rotators, a significant lateral strength difference was found in favour of the dominant extremity in the TEN_H group. The level of isokinetic strength (300°·s-1) of the internal right hand shoulder rotators and the strength level of the external and internal left hand shoulder rotators was significantly higher in favour of the TEN_H group. The level of isokinetic strength (180°·s-1) and (300°·s-1) of left and right leg knee extensors and flexors was explicitly higher in favour of the TEN_H group. Comparison of results of isometric and isokinetic strength diagnostics between the TEN_D and CS_D groups showed a significantly higher level of the right hand isometric strength in favour of the TEN_D group. A significant lateral strength difference was found in the TEN_D group in favour of the dominant extremity. The level of isokinetic strength (90°·s-1) of the extensors and flexors of the right and left hand wrists was significantly higher in favour of the TEN_D group. A significantly higher strength of the wrist extensors was established on the left hand. In case of the right hand wrist extenders, an explicit lateral strength difference was detected in the TEN_D set. The level of isokinetic strength (300°·s-1) of right hand wrist extensors and flexors was significantly higher in favour of the TEN_D set.
